sm, You rightly state that "Different interpretations are a reality." While I wouldn't agree, I can see the opinions of someone that believes that it is not necessary to follow the Bible in the most literal way possible (i.e. follow the patter of the Church described in the Bible). My problem is with those that say they want to follow the Bible's pattern and argue either with ignorance or ego that the Bible can be interpreted in many ways with all having equal validity. If you want I can provide some very detailed examples of this, although I rather you just see my point. Worship service music is a good example of this. The Bible is not unclear on this topic and history provides a good framework (see caf's comments above) so if you take the view that we should follow the pattern of the early Church the discussion of this topic should be pretty short. If you feel that a worship pattern beyond the Bible's teaching is acceptable, then "different interpretations" can be intellectually possible.
