Darwin's Black Box is a book by Michael Behe. You may be wondering, what is a book review doing on this religious page? The answer is that it is a book that attempts to show that God exists, without the use of any religious texts. He attempts to do this by using a concept of irreducible complexity. The idea that somethings can't become any simpler than they already are, and so some great intelligence with power had to have designed them. In his book he uses some simple mechanics, like a mousetrap, to illustrate some difficult biochemical ideas. He goes into extensive detail, and at some points the book becomes difficult to read. His work has been used in some creation-evolution debates, but due in part to the difficult nature of the book, it is not easy reading. There are also some possible flaws in what he says, as other authors and biochemists will point out. This should not be used as a definitive text, but perhaps as a possibility for a reference material.
