Thank you for another interesting link. I understand the attitude of the faithful who are decreasing their contributions because they do not feel responsible. Once again, I suggest that the Catholic Church is in the forefront of this issue because it is so contrary to the purpose of priestly celibacy and to the puritanical views of the Catholic Church on matters of human sexuality. I also repeat my suggestion that many other churches are probalby just as much, if not more involved in the same sort of problem, though perhaps not as openly. With only 2000 or so priests known to have been accused in the first place, and nearly half of these so far dismissed as being without merit, it makes one wonder how the cases so far settled add up to tens or hundreds of millions of dollars.
