Don't worry about this, I'm sure you're not even close to being asked to leave. It's not contrary views, it's advertising. This particular poster drops a two or three line message on the board every few months about an idea he has and a link to a web site, presumably his website. He never responds to any questions or follow up messages. The (his?) web site sells material about the idea he posted. I think it is entirely appropriate to tell him or anyone else to advertise their web storefront somewhere else, especially when he is only advertising and not taking part in any discussions. OTOH, if he were to post messages without a link to the commercial web site, and respond to follow ups and questions Bigfry might, even at this point, leave those messages undisturbed.
