Claims of spectacular hidden knowledge (for a price) will never cease. What is promoted as a corrected "translation" of Holy Scripture by Iyyob and company is outrageous in its misrepresentation of the sacred text, and of God himself. In the book Iyyob is promoting as a Bible translation, the word Yahweh (YHWH) has been inserted into the English text in places where it was never found in the original Hebrew of the Old Testament (and of course it was never in the Greek New Testament at all). Words that God used to describe himself and his character have been eliminated from the text. On Iyyob's site a sample page from Genesis 1 is presented, in which every instance of the word "God" (English for the Hebrew word Elohim) has been replaced with "Yahweh" despite the fact that there is no ancient Hebrew text anywhere that ever had the name Yahweh in that chapter. The audacity is also seen with the replacement of the plural "let us make man in our image" in Genesis 1:26 with "I will make man in my image," again in defiance of the text of the Hebrew Bible, and the revealed character of God. The actualy first instance of the name YHWH in the Hebrew text is in Genesis 2:4. It takes a lot of gall, or worse, to have such a pet peeve, such an ax to grind that you want to make your point so badly that you would rewrite the Bible your own way and attempt to pass it off as a restored translation. God, who has referred to himself with expressions such as Lord and the I Am and the Holy One of Israel and numerous other descriptive words and phrases clearly wants to be known by his people by all such names and titles as he himsself has chosen and inspired. Perhaps, Iyyob, in all seriousness you should consider the word blasphemy and accusations of false worship with some care.

Prov 30:5-6
5 "Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
6 Do not add to his words,
or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
NIV
