The post of "Seeker" comes from an e-mail I've seen circulating the Internet.

The fundamental flaw in its reasoning is that the Old Law that contained these commandments has been done away. It's purpose has been accomplished.

The logic of "Seeker's" post and the e-mail are perhaps better directed at modern adherents to Judaism - such as Dr. Laura, to whom the mass e-mail was addressed. Not that I disagree with most of Dr. Laura's positions, but I agree/disagree based on the New Testament, not the Old.
