By and large, good morals make for a better life. The Bible certainly acknowledges this idea in various ways. Fidelity has its own rewards, in many respects. It's not realistic to expect the world at large to do things God's way, and yet since God is the designer, sometimes the world notices that God's way works better and makes some effort to do things "right." Unfortunately, if moral choices are based on anything less than an absolute (ie, God says so) then they are subject to prevailing opinion and short term dedication.
