First of all, let me say that this is a VERY GRAY area. The Napster site is still working and has been allowed to operate for a few weeks pending appeal. Utilizing a service that has not been legally banned (using Christian principles to select music) is not wrong. If it were deemed illegal by law or final court decision, it would than be wrong. So why is it a gray area? Actually, to me it's not. But, it becomes gray because there will be some that feel it is wrong--most likely because of a lack of understanding of the way the industry works, but will still honestly believe that it is wrong. We need to be sensitive of that concern. By the way, the other side of the Napster fight is the Music Industry Establishment. If I had to vote, I would say that one of these is significantly more evil and greedy than the other. Guess which one! Finally, I view the entire issue as similar to the Microsoft Law Suit. Many questioned how much money the "Special Prosecutor" billed out in the Clinton-Whitewater-Monica-et.al. issue, outraged at how much is cost the tax payers to follow the lies of the highest elected official. I question how much the government has spent trying to squish Bill Gates and a company that has nearly single-handedly advanced the worlds technology to react to the special interest of a chosen few (Larry Ellison for one). Comments :-)
