Thank you for the excellent reply, I have a lot of questions, but I will try to stick with one at a time. "I find it compelling that this is the only New Testament example we have. Any other choice, monthly, semiannually, or whatever, would be simply arbitrary, with no precedent or Biblical imperative. Examples are in fact very important in understanding what the Lord’s will is." I find your reasoning interesting about the fact that we should follow Sunday as the rule because it is the only example we are given. I guess I have one question, in two parts. First, the very first Communion, the Lord's Supper, took plave on a weeknight, as you said. Is this not some sort of precendent? Jesus could have held the ceremony on the previous Sunday, or any time he wished for that matter. Second, the only time of day we are ever given is in the evening, most accounts do not give a time of day. If we should follow what example we have, shouldn't we be having communion in the evening? Thanks for your time.
