Louis, thank you for an interesting post. You have let a few contradictions slip by, however. At one point you claim that Mary was of the tribe of Judah, then later say that she was of the tribe of Levi. You say that the magi visited Jesus in Bethlehem before the flight to Egypt, and in Nazareth after they had returned from Egypt. Also I'm not sure that some of your statements about Jewish history and customs are accurate. In any case, thanks for providing some interesting holiday reading.
